Description
Complete kit to fit a chain tensioner on the models above, if you raise the rear en with longer shock absorbers.
On these bikes, with factory-length dampers the chain is in perfect alignment with the swingarm. So when the wheel goes up and down the chain tension varies little. However if you raise the rear, the up/down movements of the swingarm mean that the chain takes a lot more stress which reduces its lifespan and can, in the long run, weaken the front sprocket bearing.
Our tensioner maintains a constant tension in the chain, regardless of the position of the rear wheel.
The tender does not require specific maintenance, its roller is lubricated by the chain.
