Description
Your bike's original filter (as well as most aftermarket filters) are designed to be disposable: the filter element is made of strong porous paper and so cannot be cleaned without damage.
BMC designs its filters differently: the filter material is made of 4 layers of cotton felt/gauze, encased and protected in fine epoxy-coated alloy mesh. This material costs a lot more, but it provides unequalled durability, excellent filtration and a much better air flow. This also means that it can be washed and re-used over many years.

BMC Filters are made in Italy and used in Formula 1 and MotoGP.
Direct replacement for the original filter. The filter comes pre-oiled and ready to go on the bike. It needs, however, to be cleaned and re-oiled every 25.000 km (or more often in off-road use), using the BMC cleaning kit (instructions supplied with the kit, does not require any special equipment).
