A good filter should last the life of the bike. Strict quality controls, materials of the highest quality, mean that BMC filters will last as long as your bike.
They need, however, to be maintained every 25.000 km, or more often in dusty/dirty riding conditions. Basically, in European countries you should maintain the filter with the same frequency as the general maintenance of the bike.
