Description
High-performance camshaft for (nearly all) Twins 1200cc (2016+).
Designed by TEC in Yorkshire, made from billet steel, heat-treated.
TEC's camshaft has more lift, duration and overlap than the standard fitment, and as a result it gives a significant power and torque increase at all revs above 2500tr/min. The engine becomes livelier and punchier, but remains flexible and progressive.
Obviously with this modification the bike loses its Euro4/Euro5 certification and as such this camshaft is for off-road/circuit use only.
Can be used as a direct replacement for the factory camshaft with no other changes. It is however highly recommended to for your bike with high-flow air filter(s) to benefit fully from the increase in performance. Also compatible with a Booster Plug (Euro4 bikes only).
Does not require the modification of the engine management. The ECU is adaptive, the system will update the map according to the new parameters, after a few starts/runs.
Power gains for a bike with high-flow air filter is around 10+ BHP, with similar increase in torque values. Further gains can be made if you improve the exhaust flow or remove the cat.
You will need to open the alternator cover and therefore change the gasket.
